No Way Out

2012 began the three year stint of AMC's The Walking Dead taking over the events. Although, initially well received, the all Walking Dead theme grew tiresome quickly over three separate years. During these years, the heavy construction occuring in Universal Studios Florida™ with the closure of JAWS to prepare for The Wizarding World of Diagon Alley™ posed unique theming consequences for the event.

(1) During an attempt at an enhanced version of one of their tricks world-renowned magicians Penn & Teller accidentally nuke the city of Las Vegas Nevada. But don’t worry it’s nothing a fresh coat of new paint and a few truckloads of BS can’t fix. Come on down to New Vegas where all that glitters isn’t gold and in fact probably has fatal levels of radioactivity.

Event Facts

Due to heavy construction beginning in Universal Studios Florida for The Wizarding World of Diagon Alley, the Horror Nights™ designers had to be creative in ways that the event could theme construction walls, and limited space.
LegendaryTruth launched the first of its kind interactive game throughout the event with “Legions of Horror”. Guests could register in-park and receive a laminated RFID card to tap throughout the event. Each team (named “Legions”) were tracked, and points were given for visits and online games.
The legions were Morphan, Strengoit, Cerebin, Kerezan, Maschorian, and Baccanoid.
Game was designed, once again, by X Studios.
2012 marked the partnership with AMC’s The Walking Dead.

HHN 22... Loved the houses... will always love the event.. was not a fan of roaming hoards as the only "zone." Loved the idea of each "group" being tied to the lore of haunted past. Morphan LIFE!!!

This was my very first time attending Halloween horror nights and I absolutely loved every single moment of it. Yes I was scared because it was my first time doing a horror event and of course me being the one that was scared my dad made me go in first every single house he stood behind me and I was in front I covered my ears and everything but you know what you ever heard the saying if you like something you get bit by the pug and you like it forever well for me I got bit by the horror nights vampire and suddenly my world changed that started my adventure with horror movies and my love Halloween horror nights.
