Confront Countless Monsters

After silently watching the success of local competitor Knotts Berry Farm’s Halloween Haunt for over a decade, Universal Studios Hollywood finally entered the arena with Halloween Horror Nights™. Leveraging Universal Studios’ unique catalog of screen-used monsters, Halloween Horror Nights™ aimed to provide park-goers with a frightening version of its Studio Backlot Tour, complete with actors lunging at passing trams. This, unfortunately, resulted in a tragic accident and forced Universal to rethink the event. Halloween Horror Nights™ would not return for another 6 years.
