Clive Barker returned. Director Stephen Sommers worked on a tie-in maze for Universal’s big summer blockbuster, The Mummy. In what may have been the most pivotal collaboration of all, rockstar Rob Zombie joined the Horror Nights fray for his first of several mazes. Zombie won an Eyegore for his efforts that year. It was presented by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 star Bill Moseley, who befriended Zombie at the event and would soon after star in his directorial debut, House of 1000 Corpses.
