The year Halloween Horror Nights™ brought out the big, licensed guns. In the first deal made during his tenure, John Murdy negotiated with New Line Cinema to bring its three homicidal headliners - Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Leatherface - to the event. The result was a bi-coastal blowout headlined by Orlando’s icon among icons, Jack The Clown.
The leading men on loan each got their own maze, effectively doubling the 2006 line-up of haunted attractions alongside a rethemed Terror Tram. For the first time since 1998, both SlaughterWorld and Bill & Ted returned to the event. The scare zones didn’t change much and Freddy’s Nightmare recycled most of The Asylum from the previous year, but 2007’s Carnival of Carnage was still a watershed year for Halloween Horror Nights™ Hollywood, justifying its place in a crowded haunt market with sheer, shameless star power.
