The titans of 2007 returned, no longer in need of a red-nosed emcee. Freddy Krueger was promoted to the de facto icon, receiving the only major update from the previous year’s mazes and taking over the Terror Tram. In case anyone forgot whose party it was, a bronzed statue of the knife-fingered killer was even added to the fountain out front.
For the first time since its opening in 2007, the year-round House of Horrors was given special treatment for the event with a special appearance from The Strangers. Between those retained, overhauled, and added, Halloween Horror Nights™ 2008 showcased a record seven scare zones. To date, it’s never been matched or surpassed.
