Since 2001, SeaWorld San Antonio has remained the only park of its kind to hold a Howl-O-Scream event. Though it occasionally shares mazes and themes with the Busch Gardens events, in scope, scale, and icon, it takes more cues from Busch Gardens Williamsburg than Busch Gardens Tampa. Howl-O-Scream is included with general admission to SeaWorld. Mazes are built exclusively on one side of the park, closer to its thrill rides than its animal exhibits. After debuting in Williamsburg, the pumpkin-headed Jack of the Lantern became a frequent mascot for Howl-O-Scream San Antonio.
