To maintain transparency we ensure all of our users are aware of site Terms of Site Use as well as our Privacy Policy. We know this stuff can be stuffy, but we take your privacy extremely seriously -- by registering as an HAUNTVAULT Society Member, or using the site by navigating to, or using in any way, you agree to the following HAUNTVAULT Terms of Site Use and Privacy Policy.

This page/section informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data. HAUNTVAULT ("us", "we", or "our") operates the following family of sites including, but not limited to: HAUNTVAULT.com, HAUNTVAULT Shop, HORRORWOOD Presents..., websites (the "Service").

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible from https://www.hauntvault.com/info/privacy.

Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you. 

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (i.e. "Personal Data"). The only time we will require this information is if you choose to become a HAUNTVAULT Society Member and/or Elite Member.

Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • E-mail address
  • First name and Last Name
  • Phone Number (SMS Text Message rates apply as per user contract)
  • Address, State, Province, ZIP/Postal code, City (typically used for HAUNTVAULT Store/mailed coorespondence) 
  • Electronic Cookies and Usage Data (used to keep you logged in, and pass your user credentials between our HAUNTVAULT sub-sites)

Usage Data

We may also collect information how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. This data is mitigated through Google Analytics during your visit. 

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service. This includes the ability to seamlessly transition your HAUNTVAULT Society login credentials between our family of websites, as well as access/fully use all of the HAUNTVAULT Society Member/Elite functions.

HAUNTVAULT will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information. All HAUNTVAULT websites are securely hosted, and are transferred using secure encrypted technology parsed through web browser data.

HAUNTVAULT may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • To protect and defend the rights or property of HAUNTVAULT

  • Google Analytics
    Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

    You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Links To Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party's site. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

Due to the mature nature of the horror venues reviewed, and discussed content, our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of HAUNTVAULT's Website.  

By registering for this website, you are required to accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use (or register for) HAUNTVAULT's website if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated within this document.

The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions.

“The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”, refers to HAUNTVAULT, HAUNTVAULT Society, HORRORWOOD Presents..., HAUNTVAULT Support and The HAUNTVAULT Shop. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. 

All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of. We employ the use of cookies. By using HAUNTVAULT's website you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with HAUNTVAULT’s Privacy Policy. Most of the modern-day interactive web sites use cookies to enable us to retrieve user details for each visit. Cookies are used in some areas of our site to enable the functionality of this area and ease of use for those people visiting. This is specific to the HAUNTVAULT Society (keeping your account logged in while visiting the site). We do not, under any circumstances, share or sell your data to any third-party company.

PRIVACY

Please review our HAUNTVAULT Privacy Policy and Legal Documentation (link on every footer throughout sites). This will clearly outline our commitments to user and HAUNTVAULT Society Member Privacy, as well as our do-good approach to intellectual property (IP) working with Universal Parks & Resorts™, Busch Gardens®, SeaWorld® and other applicable haunt companies.

To reiterate, as we do throughout our sites, HAUNTVAULT is in no way affiliated with NBCUniversal, Universal Parks & Resorts™, Halloween Horror Nights™, Knott's Berry Farm, Busch Garden's Howl-o-Scream event, or any other companies/subsidiaries.

Upon HAUNTVAULT Society registration, your e-mail address will be automatically enrolled in our electronic newsletter system (provided by MailChimp). Rest assured, your information is safe with us, and we will never share your e-mail address, or contact information.

The 'HAUNTVAULT Society Member Newsletter' is one of the many perks associated with creating an account – however if you would like to remove yourself from receiving the e-mail newsletter, you may (at any time) by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of the newsletter. If you experience any newsletter challenges, do not hesitate to contact us.

HAUNTVAULT Staff does it’s best to comb the comments before they are posted, but does not screen, edit, publish or review Comments prior to their appearance on the website and Comments do not reflect the views or opinions of HAUNTVAULT, its agents or affiliates. 

Comments reflect the view and opinion of the person who posts such view or opinion. To the extent permitted by applicable laws HAUNTVAULT shall not be responsible or liable for the Comments or for any loss cost, liability, damages or expenses caused and or suffered as a result of any use of and/or posting of and/or appearance of the Comments on this website.
